Buzzardball Playoffs – Sunday, March 8





Below is the playoff format by division:


34-NBA GOLD (6 Teams)

  • Top 2 seeds receive byes

  • Play-In Round

    • 3 vs. 6 → winner plays #2 seed

    • 4 vs. 5 → winner plays #1 seed


34-NBA SILVER (10 Teams)

  • Top 8 teams qualify for playoffs

  • First Round

    • 1 vs. 8

    • 2 vs. 7

    • 3 vs. 6

    • 4 vs. 5

  • Semifinals

    • 1/8 winner vs. 4/5 winner

    • 2/7 winner vs. 3/6 winner

  • Consolation Game

    • 9 vs. 10


34-NBA BRONZE (7 Teams)

  • Top 5 teams qualify for playoffs

  • Play-In

    • 4 vs. 5

  • Semifinals

    • 1 vs. 4/5 winner

    • 2 vs. 3

  • Consolation Game

    • 6 vs. 7 (season-ending game)


56-NBA GOLD (3 Teams)

  • 56-NBA Thunder will participate as a 78-NBA Team

  • If Thunder make the 78-NBA Championship game, then top two spots will be occupied by the top two finishers (Mavericks, Timberwolves, Nuggets)

  • If Thunder don't make the 78-NBA Championship, the Thunder will play in the 56-NBA Championship at Golden One Center as the top seed. They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves. This agreement was made between ALL of the coaches in the division.

  • Semifinals

    • 2 vs. 3

    • 1 vs. 2/3 winner


56-NBA SILVER (4 Teams)

  • Top 4 teams play for the Silver Championship

    • 1 vs. 4

    • 2 vs. 3


56-NBA BRONZE (4 Teams)

  • Bottom 4 teams play for the Bronze Championship

    • 5 vs. 6

    • 7 vs. 8


78-NBA GOLD (6 Teams)

  • Top 2 seeds receive byes

  • Play-In Round

    • 3 vs. 6 → winner plays #2 seed

    • 4 vs. 5 → winner plays #1 seed


78-NBA SILVER (6 Teams)

  • Top 2 seeds receive byes

  • Play-In Round

    • 3 vs. 6 → winner plays #2 seed

    • 4 vs. 5 → winner plays #1 seed


34-WNBA Gold (3 Teams)

  • Top Seed will earn an automatic berth to the Golden One Center

  • 2 vs. 3


34-WNBA Silver (3 Teams)

  • #4 Seed will earn an automatic berth into Silver Championship

  • 5 vs. 6


56-WNBA

At season’s end, the #4 seed may choose one of two paths:

  1. Play-In Route

    • 4 vs. 5 play-in game

      • If Valkyries finish as #5 seed, they will have a play-in game

      • If Mercury finish as #5 seed, they have opted out of playing March 8th

    • Semifinals: 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3


78-WNBA

  • Dallas Wings have already secured their spot at Golden 1 Center

  • Wings will play a warm-up Game on March 8th
